I have a 2007 Hyundai Accent GS 1.6L 4 speed automatic transmission. My car was recently broken into and someone attempted to steal it ( grateful they weren’t able too) and they destroyed the steering column and ignition switch on my car. I was able to get the steering column fixed and installed a new ignition switch but the the problem I’m having now is the car will start up and I’m able to turn it off and pull the key out but when I go to drive the car again the car will not start and the key gets stuck in the acc position, I have to remove the ignition switch and realign the ignition switch in order to get the key to come out and again. I have had 3 different ignition repairs companies come out and “fix” the issue but it keeps happening. Does anyone have any idea on what to do. I’m at a loss here I need my car to work and I can’t afford to pay anyone else to work on my car so I’m going to have to do this my self. Thank you in advance.
